Mr. James Bouey, 88, was born on August 7, 1937 in Fern Park, Florida to the late John Henry Bouey and Henrietta Moore Bouey.

James completed Barber's School in Tyler, Texas in 1956, united in marriage to Alma Jean Lomax in 1957, and established his business in Orlando in 1965.  He was well-known throughout the Orange/Seminole County communities as a Barber and served well over 50 years.  He was known for showing up at 5am at his barber shop and the last customer who received a haircut was his grandson in 2021.  He was also a gospel singer who performed many concerts at his home church, New Bethel AME Church, and throughout Orange and Seminole County.  He departed this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.

A Glorious Musical Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, 11am at New Bethel AME Church, 311 Marker Street, Altamonte Springs, FL and Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, 4-6pm at Gail and Wynn's Mortuary,  1300 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando, FL  32805..
