Staff Sergeant Deonte' Lamar Davis, 27, of Ft. Knox, Kentucky, a Daytona Beach native serving in the U.S. Army with the 19th Engineer Battalion, 20th Engineer Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps,  passed away from injuries sustained in an incident at a motor pool at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Staff Sergeant .Davis' awards included the Army Commendation Medal, two Army Achievement Medals, two Army Good Conduct Medals, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korea Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon and the Overseas Service Ribbon.
